Emma McPartland has been a qualified teacher for over 20 years, with experience teaching in the classroom and working to support staff, children and families as a SENCo (Special Education Needs Co-ordinator).
Emma knows every child is special and unique from her experience of working with families struggling to navigate the education system. She established SEN Parent Advisory to support families in their struggle and help them achieve the best outcomes for their child.
Emma holds the National Special Education Needs Coordinator qualification and specialises in early years and primary school ages. She has been a safe guarding lead with experience of supporting looked after children and children with trauma and mental health difficulties. Emma holds the Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Certificate (DBS).
Emma is also trained as a behaviour lead with experience of enabling staff and families to support children with challenging behaviour using a therapeutic approach.
Emma sits on the governing body of an infant school; and has responsibly for SEN and Safeguarding.
